Amnesia #1
everywhere many people seem to have forgotten everything,
they walk amongst wavering shadows of themselves,
snaking across landscapes, do they remember anything
they lived through but believe only what's up on hollywood/TV
screens, do they really have even a clue what history can teach them
about senseless endless wars leaving real bodies bloody & dead
on destroyed city streets as rerun souvenirs from propaganda,
fake movies sluicing through their out-of-touch brains
while many real war veterans wake up-many homeless-
screaming in the suffocating nights, terrified at the carnage
their dittoing ignorance & zealotry created, left behind,
in countless places ruined across a devastated planet.
