Love Not Fame
I would not, Lord, be kingly great,
Nor sit on a throne most high;
I'd rather walk with lowly men,
And talk with passersby.
I would not, Lord, be over proud,
Nor crave the halls of fame;
I'd rather feel the love of friends
Than claim a hero's name.
