Motherless Child
seven months
in the belly
of a beast
who's misplaced anger
devistatingly changed me
reflecting inward
drawing from my own inner strength
summoning guidance
from my Father
who created me
alone, isolated
sharing my secrets with only a pen and paper
trying to capture
what it felt like 2 have a true friend
enduring a menarcheal month alone
questions hid themselves
in the most miniscule corner of my mind
my heart filled with self-love
that holding hatred within it's walls
was unheard of
9,966 days I've awaited
for a maternal bond to develop
I long for her understanding
but my own life's demanding me
forces of fate call my name
in my heart
I reserve hope that
one day
the connection will b there.
